We are thrilled you've made the decision to follow Jesus! Today marks a new beginning. You have made the best decision of your life and we want to be there for you every step of the way. When starting a relationship with Jesus, it’s normal to have many questions. Here, you will find resources that encourage and inform you on the fundamental truths to kick start your walk with Jesus. We know that God loves you dearly, and this is just the start!
Who is Jesus?
Jesus is the one who set us free. We daily get to live in freedom because of the sacrifice Jesus did for you and I.
God sent His one and only son, Jesus Christ to the Earth to live a fully human life. While on Earth, Jesus faced the same trails, temptations, and emotions we do! However, He resisted them. Because of Jesus’s time on Earth, we have a God that not only created us, but can relate to us.
Jesus constantly challenged the status quo. He set an example by loving all people, giving new perspectives, and performing miracles through the Holy Spirit. Not all people accepted the fact that Jesus was the Messiah. People were so outraged by Jesus teachings and actions that they crucified Him to the cross as an innocent, sinless man.
The blood Jesus poured out was not void. Jesus died for the forgiveness of our sins. Love conquers death.
After Jesus’s death on the cross, He was buried for three days and rose again to be with God. Jesus’s death and resurrection broke the barrier between man and God, and built a bridge for us to have a relationship with God. Because of what Jesus did on the cross, people forever to come, have the opportunity to be forgiven of their sins. Everyone has the opportunity of an eternal life with Jesus.
Jesus is our why. Jesus gives us purpose, so now He is our mission. Everything we do stems from the freedom we have in Christ. We bare the responsibility to make Him known. Jesus hasn’t stopped and nether will we.
This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son; so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.

Here at Gateway WE ARE FAMILY. God didn’t intend for us to do life alone. Our faith grows sharper when it’s challenged by people who love us. Church is more than just a building. The Church is a family. The Church allows us to take part in something much bigger than ourselves; a place for you to be yourself. Here at Gateway we welcome, accept, and love you. This is church, but you can call it home.
